Green Thumb Club: Monday-Thursday 10:00am –10:45am
Summer is coming up! It is time to move out of the greenhouse and start planting in our outdoor gardens and raised beds. We will be cultivating various types of fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs. Don’t forget the pumpkins and watermelons! You will also get to learn a bit about plant maintenance, pruning and composting. Get ready to learn the latest technologies in hydroponic gardening. Prepare to get your hands dirty!

It’s Harvest Time! Monday 11:00am-1:30pm & Wednesday 11:00am-11:30pm
Harvesting can be the most rewarding part of gardening! It is finally time to taste the “fruits” of our labor! During this class we will collect, wash and taste produce from the Midnight Farm gardens and greenhouse. Tasty treats include herbs, vegetables and fruits. We will share our harvested products with our Lunch Bunch classes, giving others the opportunity to partake in your success! Just imagine the wonderful goods we will enjoy together!

Karaoke: Monday 12:15pm-1:00pm
One of our more popular classes, karaoke is a favorite of many. Whether you like to be in the spotlight or prefer to sit back, play an instrument, clap and sing-along, everyone is guaranteed a great time! We have an extensive list of song choices including Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Elvis, country hits, kid’s songs and today’s most popular radio tunes. What’s your favorite? It’s time to step up to the microphone and show off your talent!

Critters, creepy-crawlies and winged creatures... Let's learn about the farm and all its wildlife. The participants of this class will go on relaxing walks to observe the flora and fauna of the farm. We will learn how different ecosystems work and how to care for our beautiful planet. This class will include scavenger hunts and picking wild flowers to take home. Take this opportunity to experience the exciting world of farm life at an easy pace that will accommodate consumers of various walking abilities.

The Midnight Farm Theatre Guild: Monday 2:00pm-2:30pm
Everyone needs a bit of support, and the Midnight Farm Theatre Guild is the support for the growing Midnight Farm Players acting troupe. The Midnight Farm Theatre Guild will assist in creating props, costumes, and scenery for all Player events. Get ready for painting, drawing and finding your inner artist while helping to make the Midnight Farm Theatre experience a reality. Guild involvement will contribute as much to each production as player participation. Get ready to add to the energy of every performance!

Back by popular demand! Enter our Midnight Farm nature lab and become a Mad Scientist! We will stir things up exploring chemical reactions that bubble, pop and ooze! This session we will be exploring new topics like sound, vibrations, stages of decomposition, planets and the universe. Learn a little about physics by building a rocket that we will blast-off into the country sky. This is a class that that will be exciting for folks of all developmental levels and should not be missed!

Lunch Bunch: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 11:30am – 12:45pm
Who doesn't love the aroma of a hot meal cooked from the soul? Don't just enjoy, but take pride in your menu! Learn the skills to prepare and serve an amazing, healthy lunch straight from our garden. This is a family-style meal with all four food groups. It is sure to make your taste buds sing! Please note that this is a lengthier class to allow ample time to prepare, enjoy our food and tidy-up afterward.

Get Your Groove On: Tuesday 12:45pm-1:15pm
Let’s get our sillies out! We will be free-style dancing to hits like the Hustle, Loco Motion, Twist & Shout, YMCA, the Macarena, and even the Chicken Dance! Play musical chairs, learn some basic country-line dancing steps, swing your partner and dosey-doe! You will be prepared for a hoedown when we learn some simple square-dance steps. Come out and get your Hokey Pokey on!

Explore the world with your taste buds! Travel is expensive but food is universal. We will be preparing and sampling snacks from Mexico to Greece to Asia and around the world again. Additionally, we will discover flavors across the USA from San Francisco to Texas to New York. Bring your adventurous pallets and get ready to encounter new and different cultures through their food.

Sittercize: Tuesday 2:15pm-2:45pm
It may sound like exercise, but following along to the ever popular “Sittercize” audio CD’s we forget that we are burning calories and instead break a sweat and have some laughs! When we finish we can pat ourselves on the back and say, “Hey, way to go!” Get fit and feel the exercises get easier as the weeks go by. This is an upbeat social experience for all, especially clients in wheelchairs.

Movies & The Midnight Farm Field Trip Experience: Wednesday 1:00pm-2:30pm
Are you ready to sit back and enjoy a movie complete with fresh, hot popcorn? If so, come on out to the farm and watch a movie with your friends in our cozy lodge. We will be expanding our viewing choices this session, showing films of all genres that will appeal to all ages. Come join the fun!
In addition, once a month consumers will be given a chance to experience various aspects of the farm. Every second Wednesday of the month clients who sign up for Movies at the Farm will now have the opportunity to get up close and personal with our horses, make friends with our petting paddock animals, plant vegetables, flowers or herbs in their very own pot to take home and even go on Rick Rides!

Specifically tailored for our clients, Midnight Farm is proud to present the first ever productions by The Midnight Farm Players. Open to any and all, this is a chance for every client to express themselves both verbally and non-verbally. Activities will include table-reads, blocking, rehearsing and the collaboration of ideas among teachers and consumers. We will be performing during Midnight Farm’s monthly events as well as traveling to other Day Centers to share the joy of the theater. Feel the magic of the stage as you take a bow and listen to the thunderous applause of the audience! Max Class Size: 12

Venture out to the farm and get a good dose of sunshine! Take your best shot at our adaptable versions of croquet, basketball, volleyball, bean bag toss, lawn bowling and parachute games. Come play “Rope the Steer” and toss some horseshoes! This is a class for all ability levels. Activities will be developed to ensure that clients of all capabilities can have fun in the fresh farm air.

Come and explore the outer bounds of creativity! Using recycled and new materials we will build amazing and exciting art projects that demonstrate our artist inside. Enjoy an afternoon of self-expression and self-exploration!

Midnight Farm’s Activity closet provides a wide range of games and engagement opportunities that are available for independent access during Farm operating hours. Color sorting, puzzles, coloring books, sketch pads, bean-bag toss, board games, picture books, magazines and lots more! We also welcome you to get out the basketball and shoot some hoops on pretty days.
